The new Huns

Most every day now, since the beginning of the latest Israeli-Palestinian conflict, the media has shown a succession (especially in European cities) of Pro-Palestinian demonstrations.

A wide assortment of Palestinian sympathizers (mostly of Muslim descent) is shown marching, brandishing Islamic banners, shouting death threats against Jews and vandalizing property. It looks eerily like the “Stormtroopers” rampages of Nazi Germany.
I find these rallies extremely disturbing.

You probably don’t know this, but I never knew my father.
He died in a concentration camp in 1942 when I was about 3 years old.
He died because of the intolerance and the debased views of the Nazi fanatics.
The same blind hatred is now shown by a new breed of sectarian bigots who are bent on enslaving the world.

The demonstrators do this (they say) to protest the genocide inflicted by the Jewish state upon the Gaza Strip’s population. Regrettably, there have been over 2000 victims in Gaza, but this hardly qualifies as genocide.

If you want to talk about mass murder, let’s first talk about the Armenian Genocide.
In 1915, the Ottoman (Muslim) government started the deliberate and systematic destruction of its Armenian population.
The total number of people killed as a result has been estimated at between 1 and 1.5 million.

More recently there was the Holocaust. Between 1941 and 1942, 11 million people (including 6 million Jews) were murdered in the most gruesome manner by the Nazis.

During that period, in the Middle East, Nazi politics were wholeheartedly supported by Haj Mohammed Effendi Amin el-Husseini, Grand Mufti of Jerusalem.

“During World War II he collaborated with both Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy by making propagandistic radio broadcasts and by helping Germans recruit Bosnian Muslims for the Waffen-SS.”

The Israelis for all their shortcomings never planned to exterminate anybody.
They yearn peace and security but the Muslim extremists have repeatedly said that they want nothing less than the total eradication of the Jewish state.
What can you do when there is a serial killer living next door?

And would the Muslim bloodshed stop if Israel disappeared?
In view of what’s currently taking place in the Middle East, this is more than doubtful.

So far in a series of Muslims against Muslims conflicts,
3 million Muslims died in Pakistan in 1971
1 million Muslims died in Sudan in 1983
800,000 Muslims died in Iraq in 1988
150,000 Muslims died in Algeria in 1991
250,000 Muslims died in Syria in 2011

Is Islam as peaceful as its disciples proclaim?
The world is slowly (too slowly) coming to realize that it is not.

Now, hordes of Muslim everywhere are joining forces to attack and kill Infidels (anybody who is not Muslim). They are the new Nazis, even more heinous and cruel than the barbarians of World War Two.

Muslims are often whining about Islamophobia but deeds speak louder than words. ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq) latest gory video showing the gruesome beheading of US journalist James Foley reinforces my convictions.
Can you find accommodations with people like this?

We have a lot to fear from them and should be justly afraid of the Islamic menace.

We should also be highly suspicious of the insidious infiltration of the West by Muslim Fifth Columnists.
Their relentless efforts to impose their twisted customs, their mosques, and the subjugation of women everywhere is a threat to western civilization.

This might sound a little harsh, but who in his right mind would ever have thought that Hitler and his barbaric hordes would bring so much death and destruction to the world?

Islamic hordes in Iraq, Syria and Libya have already proven that they can be much worse than Hitler’s Einsatzgruppen.

An hour at the café

Some people go to a coffee shop for sustenance (how silly) while some others push the silliness even farther by showing up with a laptop and pretending to work.
How ridiculously ostentatious!
IMG_9490Unless you are a Cro-Magnon you go to a “café” to see and be seen.
True aficionados go there to loaf and do some serious people watching. Never mind the grub or the pretend labor. People watching require your undivided attention.

You might no be aware of it, but your body, your clothes and the way you move reveals a lot about you.

As a male Homo sapiens I naturally pay more attention to the feminine figure than to the male anatomy, but I am not to say that I never look at men. They can be as equally interesting or dopey as women.
For instance, the sight of freakish looking bodybuilders leaves me generally puzzled. What are they trying to compensate for? and are women attracted to mutants?

Women can be divided in two broad (no pun intended) categories: those competing (looking for a man… or woman) and those retired from competition.
The retirees usually look drab and unattractive. They gave up competition a long time ago and don’t care about their appearance anymore.

But in the game of love and sex, there is no mandatory retirement age and so-called “cougars” are a prime example of this phenomenon.
A middle-aged woman can be as attractive (and often is) as a young chick and young men will go for it, especially if on top of their tangible assets (perceptible by touch) these wild animals also boast financial assets.

In the low intensity conflict of attraction and conquest, women traditionally rely on two high-grade weapons: the twins and the caboose. If nature proved stingy in those departments, they will not hesitate to pay good money to enhance those features.

Many enterprising young women eager to advertise their wares take “selfies” of their assets to verify that they are prominently displayed. Some will even post them on the Internet for wider distribution.

Some bodies literally shriek, “look at me” while some others say, “I gave at the office”.

If they have an attractive bottom, some women will often wear leggings to emphasize its shape.
If they have a big bosom they will wear tight fitting clothes to show it off.
Some women will wear a diamond to repulse unwanted advances and some will sport tattoos to lure unorthodox characters.

Everything is fair in love and war. If you have got it, it is not against the Geneva Convention to use it to your advantage.
Even in Iran, the girls are itching to show their stuff but the pious guardians of Iranian decency insist on keeping them veiled and cloistered.
They underestimate the power of the “wily” sex.
I am convinced that someday soon Iranian women will use these very veils to hang their persecutors from lampposts.

In the fine art of people watching, like a good Private Eye you do not stare. It is unprofessional.
Americans are still new at this game and they are prone to gross errors: they stare instead of glancing. This is not cool.

In this intricate ballet the “watchor” pretends that he is not looking and the “watchee” pretends that she is not observed.
But while not overtly acknowledging the fact that she caught your fancy, the ”watchee” cannot help but inwardly exult.
By George, I still got it!

An hour at the local café is more stimulating than three hours in a conventional think tank.

Skeptics

The older I get and the more skeptical I become.
I already wrote about this topic a few months ago, but in view of what is happening in the world, I think that it is worth repeating.

A skeptic is a person who is not easily convinced, and I am such a person. I am indeed a doubting Thomas.
I want the proof by A + B that what I read is accurate (and makes sense) before accepting it. “Creationism” for instance does not make any sense to me.
Russia sending 300 “humanitarian” trucks to Ukraine doesn’t make sense either.

According to the Wall Street Journal:
“At the site where the vehicles are parked, Russian officials showed reporters the contents of the trucks, some of which are apparently military vehicles with green paint showing through a fresh white layer. The trucks were in many cases only partly filled with items such as buckwheat, baby food and sleeping bags.”

Russian citizens will of course accept Moscow’s “humanitarian” version as the only truth, just as Ferguson’s citizenry will accept the cold killing of an unarmed teenager as gospel truth.

The real truth is more nuanced than that. A video clip recently released shows the victim robbing a grocery store and shoving a grocery clerk; this clearly establishes that he is no angel.

There is of course absolutely no excuse for gunning down an unarmed person, but it illustrates the fact that no one should rush to judgment.
Nobody knows for sure what exactly happened in polarized Ferguson and I don’t believe that there are any “impartial” witnesses.

If the cop is guilty as charged, he should be prosecuted, but “protest” demonstrations turning into looting mobs do not shed a very positive light on the protesters.

And if there is to be outrage and demonstrations for a single killing, where is the world outrage (especially the Muslim outrage) against Islamic fanatics for murdering thousands of people worldwide and taking their women in slavery?
The world is strangely silent about this.

The truth is not easy to obtain and it will often emerge months or years after the facts.
So again, do not rush to judgment.

Today you should view everything you hear or read with a very healthy dose of skepticism.
Beware of people who promise you extravagant returns on your investments.
Beware of demagogues. Beware of clerics. Beware of politicians. Beware of screaming headlines.

“The skeptic does not mean him who doubts, but him who investigates or researches, as opposed to him who asserts and thinks that he has found.”
Miguel de Unamuno (Spanish Author and Philosopher, 1864-1936)

Do not believe what you want to believe!
Believe what is reasonably believable.
And take everything you hear with a (big) spoonful of salt.

Cynically yours,

Alain
